Holy Guacamole Red: 3, Kicking Kincades: 1

The Kicking Kincades are back! Buuuut we lost our first game. It was, however, a hard fought and well-played game considering none of us had even really touched a soccer ball in six weeks. We were 1-1 down to the wire in the second half and the Guacamole team managed to squeak in a couple of goals in the last 10 minutes. Heartbreaking loss, but a great effort!

Our team photographer was out and no one else had a camera, so I tried to recreate some moments from the game by scribbling on a piece of paper 10 minutes ago:

Kelly and Amber hang out before the game.

Halftime shenanigans. Note Ronson chugging his precious Gatorade.

A shot of Cameron scoring our only goal of the game in the second half. Definitely our highlight of the game...

As usual, our other highlight was Chase, who out-cuted every other kid on the sidelines...

Well that's it! We have Labor Day weekend off, but we'll be back on September 6th, playing that other avocado-lovin' team...see you then!

Inspiration

“The serene seaside village of Capitola, just north of Monterey has become a favorite weekend retreat for the Kinkade family. Recently, I set up my easel under a beach umbrella and began to paint. The ancient wooden pier becomes the centerpiece of luminous ocean waters painted gold by the setting sun; tidal pools become silvery mirrors reflecting the glory of this Capitola Sunset. My family dined in comfort that evening at the intriguing octagonal restaurant as I put the finishing touches on my plein-air celebration of our romantic Capitola Sunset hideaway.”

“Let us rightfully kick the asses of those who call themselves Guacamole and wear red. Then, soonafter, let us destroy those who share the name Guacamole, but wear blue. A mightier ass-kicking has never seen such a day.”
